Skating 4 Scoring Camp
Want to improve your balance, power, and goal scoring techniques while learning NHL skating and skills coaches?
Developed over the past 12 years by renowned NHL Skating Coach Derek Popke (Toronto Maple Leafs 2009-2014) and former NHL'er Yogi Svejkvosky, this program focuses on game simulated skating and advanced scoring techniques. Players learn elite skating mechanics and techniques that apply to the game. Sessions focus on developing each players skating ability both with and without the puck. Players are also introduced to advanced stick-handling including dribbles and special fakes.
Rep Prep Camp
Prep for elite level hockey with professional training!
Vancouver Hockey School offers two weeks of Rep Prep Camps aimed at preparing elite level players for rep hockey. Players receive 1hr of skating instruction focusing on stride, speed, and explosiveness. Students also receive 1hr of puck skills focusing on special dekes, shooting, fakes, and scoring. Rep Prep Camps a great way to brush up on small details and improve your overall game.
Skating and Battle Camp
Want to improve your skating and compete level in games and become a player the coach can trust when the game is on the line?
Developed by two of North America’s skills coaches, Derek Popke and Yogi Svejkovsky, players are taught strategies and techniques on how to win 50/50 puck battles, using their body to protect the puck, angling players into effective puck battles, and how to compete for time and space.
